(Senior) Windows Engineer

• Remuneration: 14 - 17 000 PLN net +VAT/B2B or employment contract

Responsibilities:

• Administration of Windows Server operating systems and services in virtualized and cloud environment
• Administration and monitoring of servers, data storage and backup services
• Providing 2nd line support to systems and coordinating with 3rd line of support
• Problem definition, analysis and resolution: diagnosis of software and hardware problems
• Update the technical documentation and operating procedures
• Tuning, Optimization and Capacity Planning
• Recommends and implement best practices
• Operating and monitoring of infrastructure, systems, servers
• Patch management
• Installation, upgrades and configuration of system components and server software
• Advise in areas such as capacity management, contingency planning, IT service continuity management, automation of repetitive tasks, security
• Coordinate with others IT teams and hosting services
• Scripting & configurations in context of systems & infrastructure
• Handling of backups and restore operations of systems & infrastructure
• Participate in defining and documenting configuration of systems & infrastructure
• Participate in architectural design/reviews
• Draft technical content for knowledge base for use of upstream support teams
• Evaluation and implementation of security standards
• Participation in coordination and project meetings

Competence demands:    

• Bachelor degree in computer science or related field
• MCSE certificate in server infrastructure or equivalent
• 4 years of professional experience relevant to the job
• Very good command of English, at least at B2 level - mandatory!
• Experience in administration of complex IT systems, distributed environments
• Experience in administration of Windows Server 2016 or later based systems in virtualized environment
• Good knowledge of network protocols: SMTP, NTP, DNS, LDAP, DHCP, PKI/CA
• Hands-on experience in networking, security and systems services for MS Windows Server OS
• Expertise in analysing and troubleshooting large-scale distributed systems
• Solid scripting skills in PowerShell, Perl or other scripting languages
• Experience in ticketing systems and ITIL based change management, configuration management and release management processes
• A proactive attitude, team-work spirit, being self-motivated with a strong user orientation

Nice to have:

• Experience with Active Directory Federation Services its administration, configuration and customization
• Experience with Microsoft Defender for Identity its configuration and administration
• Experience with the configuration and administration of Microsoft Internet Information Services
