Assistant Controller

Your main tasks would be:

• Responsible for supporting property financial activities for EMEA real estate investment
• Works in close relation with the asset manager(s) on the asset management side and with the Property Accountant on the financial side
• Proactively compiles internal and external reports to provide insight in property performance, actively works on improvement of financial performance of property company
• Supports budgeting and controlling processes, prepares analytical comparison of forecasted and actual data
• Provides fund controller with relevant financial information: quarterly and annual closing (IFRS), forecasting and budgeting
• Obtains and processes input on property level from property managers and property management parties for purposes of financial reporting, performs analytical checks of the reported financial data
• Gathers and produces (property and property company) information to put in the monthly/quarterly report

Perfect candidate profile:

• Graduated from higher vocational training (Bachelor) or university (Master) specializing in finance, such as business economics or accountancy;
• Minimum of 5 years relevant work experience, preferably in a similar position at a financial organization or big 4 accounting firm;
• Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations, such as IFRS and accounting principles in general;
• Knowledge of external reporting and a fresh, modern approach to information disclosure;
• Practical experience with financial reporting
• Strong analytical skills and well-developed critical attitude;
• Excellent communication skills and social skills;
• Accurate, independent and proactive;
• Team player;
• Fluent English language skills;
• German or French language skills are welcome
• Good knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint, IT supportive and automations oriented mindset
